Acupuncture
Re-establishing a balance of the laws of nature, restoring the innate intelligence within the physical body and allowing the patient to become an active participant in restoring health within.
Acupuncture works by re-establishing health and balance in what is known as the 5 organ systems or phases within the body. Balance is achieved by maintaining continuous energy flow throughout the tissues, muscles, cells, and bones and all the spaces in between.
Puncturing a point signals the system to listen for a coming message from the needle(s). All points on the body have specific qualities and characteristics. Much like putting words together in a sentence, the combination of points used in a treatment dictates a message to elicit the desired response.
Treatments may include/Augmentative services include personal essential oil blends, moxibustion, cupping and gua sha, specifically geared to the individual/alleviation of pain. Each treatment strategy is based on accessing current health and addressing what needs to be restored for each individual.
Women’s Health
Addressing the many complex facets of women’s whole health including reproductive health; fertility, pregnancy and postpartum care, menopausal and hormonal balancing, emotional support, anxiety, and stress relief.
Reproductive Health
Menopause: A seldom recognized and under-treated physical phenomenon, menopause affects every woman, and can occur at various ages in a woman’s life. Whether one is childbearing or not, we give of our life’s blood and energy every month. We shed, we restore, and we begin again.
Menstruation: Regulating menstrual cycle, building, and shedding healthy blood, minimizing premenstrual symptoms
Fertility: Hormone balancing to address all aspects of the reproductive cycle including ovulation, length of luteal phase and successful tubal migration. Building good blood and uterine lining creates a healthy host for implantation for both natural and assisted pregnancy.
Labor Ready: Acupuncture support throughout the second and third trimester gets the mother and baby in prime readiness for birth. It has been proven to minimalize nausea, back pain and position the baby, perfectly, in the birth canal.
Postpartum: Following childbirth, both mom and baby are depleted. Acupuncture helps to nourish the uterus and support the healing process, replenish and cleanse the blood, promote lactation and prevent mastitis. In addition to the above mentioned, gentle shifts and attention to the physical body, will encourage healthy bowel movements, reduce stress and encourage peaceful and restorative sleep.

“When I first went to Bae I had excruciating pain in both arms due to severe tennis elbow. I had tried physical therapy and pain killers, but nothing worked. I researched treatment for tennis elbow. I read that acupuncture might be the answer. A google search fortunately led me to Bae Parker. I found welcomed relief after my first visit. After my third visit, my pain was completely gone. I was able to use my arms without any pain. I continue going to Bae now for leg and back injuries that occurred when I was young. I recommend her to anyone who is suffering from pain. Bae listens and really knows what she is doing.”

While every individual has their unique protocol, there are a few standards that you can count on. If you have scheduled an acupuncture appointment due to a recent injury or onset of pain/symptoms, be prepared to commit to 3 or 4 visits within the first month. Optimal results occur with persistence. We first acknowledge the absence in health, and then support the body’s own reparations by giving it the guidance it needs to get back on a healthful path.
If you are seeking wellness support, and have no specific complaints, a monthly or quarterly regimen will keep your system in balance. We are also able to address anything that might arise and keep it from becoming a chronic issue.
